I have twenty-two years of teaching experience in mathematics.  I have taught the following mathematics courses throughout my career:  6th grade math, 8th grade Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 1A, Algebra 1B, Unified Geometry, Plane Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry, Algebraic Connections, Algebra III, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. I have taught the following elective courses:  Journalism, Drama, Speech, Anatomy and Physiology, BASIC Programming, and Keyboarding.

My name is Donna Hargrove.  I have lived in Athens for most of my life.  I am married to Randy Hargrove. We have been married for almost 27 years. We have two children. Our son, Chase, is 24 years old. He is an IT Technician. Our daughter, Anna, is 14 years old.  She is in the 8th grade at Athens Bible School. 

I am excited about being at Athens High School!!! Athens High School has the greatest faculty, staff and administrators! The Mathematics Department contains wonderful teachers who work together as a team to provide an outstanding Mathematics Program at AHS!!!  However, the real reason I am a teacher is because of the students - the Athens High School students are AWESOME!!!  We have great students who are respectful and hard working!  Last year, I had the opportunity to teach many dynamic students who have great potential and who will make a tremendous difference in the world in which we live.  I love my students!  I am looking forward to meeting  and getting to know my "new" students for the 2011-2012 school year.  It is going to be an outstanding year! I hope you are looking forward to this adventure as much as I am!  Let's work hard to be the best that we can be and to keep AHS as the greatest school in our state!
